MAGICAL EDITS
*Must be comfortable and have some knowledge of tools in Adobe Photoshop..this is required and recommended for this tutorial*
In this step- by- step 47 minute video I will guide you and show you my EXACT workflow when adding on magical digital backdrops in PHOTOSHOP to outdoor images. In this tutorial I edit ONE image, the image shown as the cover of the video tutorial, the other images on this post is to show you all some of my other before and after work. What I teach you on the image I edit you will be able to apply to all your outdoor images!
Outdoor images can be more difficult than studio photos at times due to the outdoors always being so unpredictable. Sometimes we plan a beautiful sunset session and it turns out gloomy and cloudy, sometimes we go to a field and expect beautiful flowers everywhere only to show up and see that they are all dead and just a few left.. I used to struggle with outdoor photography because I envisioned my clients in dreamy backdrops full of magic, light and flowers and most of the time it didn’t turn out like that …I have learned over time how to add on special backdrops, lights and overlays to make my outdoor images look magical and now days i able to do my outdoor sessions in my backyard and not have to travel to far away locations to create the same magical images I desire!
In this video I go into very deep detail of all the steps needed to achieve an edit like this, blending the floor to make it look realistic, adding shadows, adding highlights, etc. I will also show you how to use overlays and actions to blend the colors and all to make an image come together!
I also go into detail of how I take my photos during my sessions to make sure they will match my backdrops and will make it easier to achieve these edits that everyone LOVES!
